食物的酸碱理论是一个未被主流科学界承认的假说。

碱性食物（又名碱性灰烬食物、碱酸食物，酸灰烬食物），泛指一类所谓可以平衡因广泛进食可引起体液（包括尿和血液）变化的食物，以此来治疗或避免疾病。然而，由于没有任何人类研究对这种饮食的优点进行支持，通常不被营养师和其他健康专业人士所推荐。这些食物被认为当消化后，会在身体内留下碱性的「灰烬」。食物的酸碱性，由这些食物的「灰烬」的水溶液的pH值决定。然而，大多数生物分子只要含有钙、铁、镁、锌及钠等元素，化学上来说他们的灰烬都会是碱性的。
