Fuman (Persian:فومن‎‎, also Romanized as Fooman, Fūman, Fowman, Fowmen, and Fumen) is a city in and the capital of Fuman County, Gilan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 27,763, in 7,728 families.

Rice has been cultivated in this region for many years, where some indigenous cultivars (landrace) were conventionally bred by farmers.
