Cathryn Hankla

Cathryn Hankla (born 1958 in Richlands, Virginia) is an American poet and novelist.

She has taught at the University of Virginia, where she met her ex-husband R. H. W. Dillard, at Washington & Lee University, and is currently a professor of English at Hollins University, where she received both her bachelor's and master's degrees, and where she directs the Jackson Center for Creative Writing.
