Housing and Home Finance Agency
The Housing and Home Finance Agency was composed of the Home Loan Bank Board, the Federal Housing Administration (FHA), and the Public Housing Administration. It consolidated the United States Housing Authority, Home Owners' Loan Corporation, the Federal Savings and Loan Insurance Corporation, the Federal Housing Administration, the Defense Homes Corporation, and the United States Housing Corporation. It acquired the Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae) from the Federal Loan Agency as a constituent unit in 1950.
