阿布·穆萨·贾比尔·伊本·哈扬（阿拉伯语：جابر بن حيان‎，721年－815年），波斯炼金术士、药剂师、哲学家、天文学家、占星家、物理学家、地理学家、医生和工程师，被称为「现代化学之父」。

他提出凡是金属皆由硫、汞两元素按不同比例而组成的炼金学说；是一位具有熟练技巧的实验家；写出许多有关学科的著作，曾首先引用碱、锑等化学术语；并且记载过硝酸、王水、硝酸银、氯化铵、升汞的制法，金属的冶炼方法以及染色方法等；十四世纪他的著作被翻译成拉丁文传入欧洲，对后来欧洲的化学产业的发展起推动作用。

Abu Mūsā Jābir ibn Hayyān (Arabic:جابر بن حیان‎, Persian:جابر حیان‎‎, often given the nisbahs al-al-Bariqi, al-Azdi, al-Kufi, al-Tusi or al-Sufi; fl. c. 721 –c. 815), also known as Geber, was a prominent polymath: a chemist and alchemist, astronomer and astrologer, engineer, geographer, philosopher, physicist, and pharmacist and physician. Born and educated in Tus, he later traveled to Kufa. He is sometimes referred to as the father of early chemistry.
