Lefkoniko (Greek:Λευκόνοικο; Turkish:Lefkonuk or Geçitkale) is a town in the Mesaoria Plain of Cyprus. It is under the de facto control of Northern Cyprus. Lefkoniko is the birthplace of Cypriot national poet Vasilis Michaelides and is known for its lace.
