医疗温度计，又称体温计、探热针，是拿来量测人体温度用的仪器。可用来量测口腔温度、腋下温度或是肛门内的直肠温度。

传统的水银式医疗温度计工作方式与气象用最高温度计相同。温度计底端有一中空球状膨起部份，连接一细小中空管状部份，中空部份内填充水银，温度标示范围95F 到 108F　(35C到42C)。当温度上升时，水银会膨胀，并且流出膨起部份进而流入中空管状部份。借由温度计上的刻记号读出温度值。在底端球状膨起部分与中空管状的连接为一紧缩设计（截流区）。在温度上升时，球状部的水银受热膨胀而受力流出此一凹细部位。当温度下降时，此一紧缩设计将阻止水银流回球状部，因此中空管状内的水银不会发生变化。当温度计重新量测时，需要先甩动温度计，让中空管内的水银回到球状部份。

A medical thermometer, also known as a clinical thermometer, is used for measuring human body temperature. The tip of the thermometer is inserted into the mouth under the tongue (oral or sub-lingual temperature), under the armpit (axillary temperature), or into the rectum via the anus (rectal temperature).
