名词化(nominalization、名物化)是指在语法上从其他词性的词，一般是动词和形容词，转化为名词词组的过程。

在德语中，因其具有的客观性、生动性、直观性和简洁性，名词化在科学、技术等专业领域的解释文本中用的比较多。

形容词或副词可以通过添加-ung或者-heit、-keit等词尾来进行名词化。也可以直接在词前面加上一个冠词，这样不需要添加词尾也完成名词化，这种方式一般产生中性的名词语体，比如说gut加上冠词das变成das Gute。

In linguistics, nominalization or nominalisation is the use of a word which is not a noun (e.g. a verb, an adjective or an adverb) as a noun, or as the head of a noun phrase, with or without morphological transformation. The term can also refer specifically to the process of producing a noun from another part of speech via the addition of derivational affixes (e.g., legalize versus legalization).
