Pupillage
A pupillage, in England and Wales, Northern Ireland and Ireland, is the compulsory training contract for BPTC graduates. In Hong Kong it is the final stage of qualification for a barrister, but it is not contractual. Pupillage is similar to an apprenticeship, during which bar graduates build on what they have learnt during the course by combining it with practical work experience in a set of barristers' chambers.
