平昌郡 Pyeongchang County

平昌郡（朝鲜语：평창군）位于大韩民国江原道。平昌曾两度以些微票数落选冬季奥运主办权。2010年冬奥以三票之差败于加拿大温哥华，2014年冬奥以4票败于俄罗斯索契，2011年7月6日三度申办冬奥的平昌，终顺利胜出获选为2018年冬奥的主办城市。

Pyeongchang (Korean pronunciation: [pʰjʌŋtɕʰaŋ]; in full, Pyeongchang-gun [pʰjʌŋtɕʰaŋɡun]) is a county in Gangwon province, South Korea located in the Taebaek Mountains region. It is also home to several Buddhist temples, including Woljeongsa. It is located approximately 180 km (110 mi) east of Seoul, the capital of South Korea. Pyeongchang will host the 2018 Winter Olympics and the 2018 Winter Paralympics.
