共和主义（英语：Republicanism）是一种模糊的意识形态，指通过创建共和国来治理社会或国家，其中最关键的一点是：人民天生享有人民主权，不是君主的附属品。
共和主义的概念最早产生于公元前6世纪的罗马共和国。
目前，世界上大部分国家是共和国。
