对照实验（英语：control experiment）是在实验中设置比较对象（对照组）的一种科学方法，目的是为了与进行实验的对象（实验组）进行对照，减少实验中不确定的变量带来的影响，以之来显示出实验的结果。使用对照实验可以增强实验的可信度。

进行实验时，要同时进行对照实验，是因为要在同一环境下得出两种实验结果的数据用作定性及定量的对比分析。同一时间进行对照实验可测出实验在环境因素改变下所作出的改变。

A scientific control is an experiment or observation designed to minimize the effects of variables other than the independent variable.
