大麦茶,又称为麦茶,韩国称菩提茶是流行于东亚的一种茶饮料。大麦茶在欧美也被当成咖啡的替代饮品。
大麦茶是将大麦焙煎,再磨成粉末而制成的饮料。日本昭和前期称这种饮料为麦汤,意指「麦子开水」。麦茶在日本一般只是在夏天作为凉饮喝。而中国和韩国则是一年四季根据气温热着或凉着喝。在韩国大麦茶一般会添加些玉米茶以消除大麦的苦味。将麦茶和糖加入红茶,就成了麦香红茶。
大麦茶有很好的保健功效,而且大麦茶不会污染茶具和牙齿。

It is also used as a caffeine-free coffee substitute in American cuisine. Roasted barley tea is called mugicha(麦茶) in Japanese, dàmàichá (大麦茶) or màichá (麦茶 or 麥茶) in Mandarin Chinese, and boricha (보리차) in Korean. In Japan it is generally regarded as a cooling beverage, while in Korea and China it is served year-round, warm in summer and cool in winter. Originally, roasted barley seeds were stewed in warm water (this is still the method generally used in Korea), but tea bags containing ground barley became more popular during the early 1980s; this is now the norm in Japan. It can be found from many different distributors in vending machines all over Japan. |
