鹿追町 Shikaoi, Hokkaido

鹿追町位于北海道十胜综合振兴局西北部。名称来自阿伊努语「kutek-us-i」，意思为追逐鹿的广大土地。
北部山区为大雪山国立公园的南侧，南部为平原，适合耕作及畜牧养殖。
由于辖区内设有陆上自卫队鹿追驻屯地，辖区人口约有一成为自卫队员。

Shikaoi(鹿追町Shikaoi-chō) is a town located in Katō District, Tokachi Subprefecture, Hokkaido, Japan. The name "Shikaoi" means "Following (hunting) deer".
As of 2008, the town has an estimated population of 5,723 and a density of 14 persons per km². The total area is 399.69 km².There are several towns around Shikaoi including Shimizu, Shintoku, and Shihoro
