美声唱法（意大利语：Bel Canto）是始于16世纪意大利，完成于19世纪的艺术性很高的唱法，用于意大利歌剧。 美声唱法产生于17世纪意大利的一种演唱风格。以音色优美，富于变化；声部区分严格，重视音区的和谐统一；发声方法科学，音量的可塑性大；气声一致，音与音的连接平滑匀净为其特点。这种演唱风格对全世界有很大影响。现在所说的美声唱法是以传统欧洲声乐技术、尤其是以意大利声乐技术为主体的演唱风格。在文艺复兴思潮的影响下，逐渐产生了歌剧，美声唱法也逐渐完善。佩里根写出意大利最早的歌剧《达芙妮》，1600年又写出了歌剧《犹丽狄茜》。作曲家的创作，使歌剧突破了以往的唱法。

Bel canto (Italian for "beautiful singing" or "beautiful song", pronounced [bɛl ˈkanto]), along with a number of similar constructions ("bellezze del canto"/"bell'arte del canto"), is a term relating to Italian singing. It has several different meanings and is subject to a wide variety of interpretations. [The Harvard Dictionary of Music by Willi Apel, copyright 1944, says that bel canto “denotes the Italian vocal technique of the 18th century with its emphasis on beauty of sound and brilliancy of performance, rather than dramatic expression or Romantic emotion. In spite of the repeated reactions against the bel canto (Gluck, Wagner) and in spite of the frequent exaggeration of its virtuoso element (coloraturas), it must be considered as a highly artistic technique and as the only proper one for Italian opera and for Mozart.”]
