怖军（梵文：भीम）在摩诃婆罗多中般度族的一员，般度五子的二子，哈斯蒂纳普尔的国王。怖军名义上的父亲是般度，但因般度得罪天神导致不能与女性行房，所以贡蒂利用神力与天神生下儿子，所以怖军实际上是风神伐由之子，哈奴曼是布军同父异母的兄弟。由于般度早逝，国家由伯伯持国摄政，但持国的儿子俱卢族对王国虎视眈眈，多次借机谋害他们。年少时，难敌曾经引开坚战和阿周那，毒害怖军，幸好他大命才不死。怖军在五子之中，属于骁勇善战的一员，在流放期间，他曾为民除去罗刹，又在摩竭陀国打败恶王妖连，后来与哈奴曼相认后，神力更上一层楼。在俱卢大战中，怖军杀死了俱卢族的多名成员，包括侮辱过黑公主的难降。
