苯甲酸胆固醇脂 苯甲酸胆固醇脂（英语：Cholesteryl benzoate），又称安息香酸胆固醇脂及胆甾醇苯甲酸酯，系统命名5-胆甾烯-3β-醇苯甲酸酯（5-cholesten-3β-yl benzoatec或5-cholesten-3-yl benzoatec），是一种有机化合物，由苯甲酸（安息香酸）与胆固醇形成的酯类化合物。常温下为白色结晶固体。 苯甲酸胆固醇脂可以用来作为用于液晶显示器的液晶之组成成分，但由于熔点非室温无法单独制作液晶显示器；也可热致变色液晶的成分之一、或用在一些化妆品制剂中。 该物质为人类最早发现的具有液晶特性的化合物。该物质在145 °C至178.5 °C之间为液晶态。1888年，弗里德里希·莱尼泽发现该材料具有液晶特性。
